HOURLY POSITIONS

Cocktail Server Polo Lounge - PT
Position Overview - Provide outstanding service to guests of the Polo Lounge. Ensure a positive first and last impression by maintaining a professional, pleasant and helpful attitude while fulfilling guests’ needs. Take and fulfill guest beverage requests in a timely and accurate manner. Address and resolve all customer problems in an efficient and effective manner. Responsible for maintaining high product knowledge. Bus tables as necessary. Maintain cleanliness of all Polo Lounge areas.

Position Requirements -
Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience required. Cocktail Server experience preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule. TIPS certification preferred. Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills.   

Suite Service Busser/Runner
Position Overview - Set up and clear all guest suites of Room Service dishes and tables. Address and resolve all customer problems in an efficient and effective manner. Stock service stations appropriately. Prepare retrieved tables for resetting. Ensure that all necessary Room Service supplies and equipment are properly stocked at all times. Assist Servers as necessary. Maintain tidiness of all Room Service areas.
 
Position Requirements - Previous experience in a hotel setting preferred. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Qualified candidates must have 1 year customer service experience and ability to work in a high volume Environment. 

Server Assistant AM/PM
Position Overview - Ensure all food, condiments, and other New Orleans Grill products are thoroughly prepared and stocked.  Selected candidates will pick up clean linens and dispose of dirty laundry daily. 

Position Requirements - Qualified candidates must have 1 year customer service experience and ability to work in a high volume Environment. 

Room Attendant PM 
Position Overview - To exceed our guest’s expectations by maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness of the guest rooms.

Position Requirements - Previous housekeeping experience helpful. Position requires standing and walking for entire shift.  Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. Extensive standing, stooping, and bending involved. Able to focus on details and possess a positive presence and service skills.     

Cook III
Position Overview - Prepare food according to the quality standards of the Windsor Court Hotel. Address and resolve all customer problems in an efficient and effective manner. Maintain Cook’s station. Maintain kitchen inventory.

Position Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience in a fine dining restaurant. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills.

Baker
Position Overview - Prepare desserts according to the quality standards of the Windsor Court Hotel. Address and resolve all customer problems in an efficient and effective manner. Maintain pastry area. Maintain pastry inventory. Rotate, cover, label and date all food. Minimize spoilage, waste and over production.

Position Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pastry Cook. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills.  
 
Server AM
Position Overview
- Deliver exceptional service to guests by assisting them with their food orders.  Maintain complete knowledge of service standards and provide required level of service. Increase revenues by upselling menu items in the New Orleans Grill.

Position Requirements - Must be very energetic, motivated and possess a positive presence.  Must be able to obtain TIPS certification.  Ability to focus attention to details. Ability to carry up to 60 pounds. Must have 2 years of experience in fine dining.  Must have a passion for food and wine.

Carpenter
Position Overview - Maintain, repair and replace all hotel furniture as necessary. Build simple furniture as per specifications and design. Recommend future action on all damaged furniture. Fulfill all other carpentry duties, including but not limited to the installation of shelving, relocation of existing facilities and construction of new partition walls. Maintain carpentry inventory. Responsible for understanding drawing and schematics. Responsible for the achievement of departmental objectives and goals. Maintain open communication with other departments. Any other assigned tasks or duties as required

Position Requirements - 10 years experience as a Master Carpenter- furniture experience a must. Experience in a hotel setting preferred. Ability to work flexible hours.

Painter - TEMP for 60 days
Position Overview - Maintain all painted surfaces of the hotel using a variety of paint types. Address and resolve all customer problems in an efficient and effective manner. Mix paint colors as necessary. Varnish and spray-paint furniture as necessary. Build and repair partition walls. Repair plaster. Maintain vinyl and wallpapered surfaces. Maintain tiled and marbled surfaces. Caulk and grout as necessary. Assist in setting up décor for special functions. Responsible for the achievement of departmental objectives and goals. Maintain open communication with other departments.

Position Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of painting experience required. Experience in a hotel setting preferred. Ability to work flexible hours. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills. 

Steward
Position Overview - Set up all supplies, items and necessary equipment needed for service. Clean and store all equipment used at functions. Maintain adequate supplies during meal service. Sweep and mop floors. Collect and remove trash as necessary. Collect and breakdown boxes as necessary.  Any other assigned tasks or duties as required.

Position Requirements - Ability to work a flexible schedule. Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds. Previous experience preferred.

Cook II
Position Overview - Prepare food according to the quality standards of the Windsor Court Hotel. Address and resolve all customer problems in an efficient and effective manner. Maintain Cook’s station. Maintain kitchen inventory.

Position Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience or housekeeping or janitorial experience. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Excellent customer service skills. Must be able to lift/move 50 pounds.

Housekeeping Supervisor PM
Position Overview - To exceed our guest’s expectations by inspecting the quality of cleanliness of all guest rooms and public areas in the hotel and ensure the quality of cleanliness is maintained to The Windsor Court Hotel Standards.

Position Requirements - Must have a minimum of 4 years experience in housekeeping and/or supervisory skills. Must be energetic, motivated and possess a positive presence.  Position requires walking and standing for entire shift.  Hours and shifts vary.  Must be able to communicate and coach team members   
 
MANAGEMENT POSITIONS 

Pastry Sous Chef
Position Overview - Lead, supervise and direct the Pastry department. Ensure that all pastry personnel are fulfilling their job functions appropriately. Create dessert menu and presentation. Address and resolve all customer problems in an efficient and effective manner. Perform spot checks for menu accuracy and taste. Minimize spoilage, waste and over production. Regularly review house counts, forecasts and VIP lists. Monitor all banquet and catering activity. Maintain all pastry inventory. Maintain budgeted revenues by upholding the quality standards of the Windsor Court Hotel while controlling expenditures.

Position Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining restaurant. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent deductive and reasoning skills. Strong organizational skills.  Must be computer literate. Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts. 

Catering & Conference Services Manager
Position Overview
- Act as liaison between the clients and the Windsor Court Hotel. Meet with clients to work out details. To coordinate and disseminate all details pertaining to groups, including but not limited to function space, menus, rooming lists, billing procedures, outside activities and audio visual needs. To promote, book, and coordinate various engagements at the Hotel.

Position Requirements - A minimum of 2 years experience as a Conference Services Manager or Sales Manager required, hotel setting preferred. Must have excellent customer service skills, written and verbal communication skills.  Strong organizational and selling skills are required. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule. 

Assistant Manager, The New Orleans Grill - PM
Position Overview
- Primarily responsible for the am supervision of The New Orleans Grill Service Staff.  Ensures overall guest satisfaction.

Position Requirements - Minimum of two years experience as restaurant captain and or supervisor in four-five star restaurant preferred. Possesses strong leadership and motivational skills. Possesses knowledge of beverage cost control procedures, wines and spirits. Possesses food knowledge in various cuisines and fine dining food service styles. Computer literate with high proficiency in POS, inventory control and spreadsheet applications and word processing. Possesses strong training skills. College degree preferred but not required.
