The Royal Family - Celia La Cour
Celia La Cour
Position: Housekeeping Inspector
Years of Service: 25 years
Having celebrated her silver anniversary with Windsor Court in February, Celia La Cour has been an integral part of the housekeeping operation since she started. Celia first began as a housekeeper cleaning rooms, and then moved into positions throughout the department including as a house person, office coordinator, trainer and supervisor. She credits her longevity to the fact that the working environment at the Windsor Court is so family oriented. She also enjoys that every day is different and is a good challenge.
In her current position as Housekeeping Inspector, Celia is amongst a team who are held to the highest of standards. They are the last ones to do the final inspection of the rooms before a room is deemed ready to be occupied by a guest and if even one thing is out of place, they are the ones to spot it and correct it. This position is particularly fitting for Celia as she takes great pride in the work she does and in always putting forth the very best effort that she can.
George Beattie, the Director of Housekeeping says, “Celia brings many years of experience and knowledge to the team each day. Celia consistently does everything possible to ensure each guest truly has a great experience along with working side by side each associate to make sure each room is a true representation of the Windsor Court. Celia is a huge reason we have continued success in housekeeping.”
When not at the hotel, Celia enjoys spending time with her family. While she speaks with great joy about the hotel, she simply beams with pride when speaking about her three grown daughters and seven year old son. She is also very close to her father who still lives in her hometown of Morgan City.
Favorite Windsor Court Moment
As someone who takes great pride in all that she is associated with, Celia’s favorite Windsor Court moment is when the hotel was named #1 hotel in the world by Condé Nast Reader’s Choice. While many remember the celebration, Celia names the dedicated team that was able to garner such recognition, as the most notable aspect of that time.
