The Royal Family - Jerry Wilks
Position: Club Lounge Attendant
Years of Service: 8 years
A lifelong veteran in the hospitality industry, Jerry Wilks joined the Windsor Court in 2008 as a server assistant in The Grill Room. A few years later, Jerry waited on a visiting regional manager of the hotel who noticed Jerry’s charming personality and great sense of service. He asked if Jerry would be interested in transferring to the Club Lounge as he knew Jerry would be a perfect fit.
It only took one shift for Jerry to know that the Club Lounge was the right home for him. He enjoys the leisurely environment the Club Lounge provides for the guests so that he can truly spend time interacting with them, getting to know them better and consequently, anticipating their needs and delivering top-notch service.
A native New Orleanian, Jerry loves to recommend authentic New Orleans activities and dining options to first time guests, as well as to talk all things Saints to the many repeat guests.
Jerry’s friendly demeanor is noticed not only by guests, but by his co-workers as well. “Jerry is always energetic, positive, and dedicated to his job. Both guests and his fellow associates love him, which makes him a perfect fit for the Club Lounge” says Club Lounge Supervisor Teresa Carter.
When he’s not at work, Jerry likes to cook, eat oysters and watch sports. Naturally, football season is his favorite time of year when he is able to follow his beloved Saints.
Favorite Windsor Court Moment
There is no culminating favorite moment of Jerry’s as he has favorite moments every week. His favorite part of his job is seeing and interacting with the repeat guests that stay on the Club Level frequently. These guests, their children and their pets become a part of Jerry’s family. He can truly be himself and can deliver an elevated level of unique personalized service that only Jerry can provide.
