The Royal Family - Jackie Doise
Position: Guest Relations/VIP Manager
Years of Service: 24 years
For over two decades, Jackie has been an integral part of the fabric that makes up the Windsor Court. Starting as a Reservations Agent, she worked her way up through the ranks of the Front Office to Front Desk Agent, Hotel Night Manager and then to Assistant Front Desk Manager until she ultimately was promoted to be the Guest Relations/VIP Manager where she has been for the past sixteen years.
Liaising with all operational departments, including housekeeping, engineering, suite service, concierge, and the front desk, Jackie’s primary responsibility is to ensure that the hotel’s long time repeat guests and high profile individuals are handled with the utmost care; however, whether or not you are a first time guest or whether or not you know Jackie, chances are, she knows who you are and has had some role in your stay.
As one of the most recognizable faces around the hotel, Jackie is often seen in the lobby welcoming guests ‘home’ and assisting in any way possible. Her loyalty and dedication to the hotel over the years has made her like family to many long-time guests who look forward to seeing her on each visit. She too feels the same about them which shows in the incredible sense of pride and ownership she takes in all that she does. She attributes that dedication to the fact that not only does she see many guests as family, but she sees the people she works with as family as well.
At the hotel more than anyone, there are very few things that will pull Jackie away from her hard-working post at the hotel; however, as an avid sports fan and Louisiana State University alum, cheering on her New Orleans Saints is one of them and following her Tiger baseball and football teams is the other. In her spare time, Jackie can also be found reading fiction novels or catching the latest movie release.
Favorite Windsor Court Moment
Jackie’s keen memory is unlike most. She can remember your dog’s name from 10 years ago and what colleges all three of your kids are attending. Because of that vast memory, she finds it difficult to choose just one favorite moment in her Windsor Court history. She has had the esteemed privilege to help many an entertainer and politician, and while she finds it a privilege to be able to assist these guests, those interactions are not necessarily the ones that have touched her most.
She does recall the very first positive guest comment card she received which was when she was in her first position as Reservations Agent. While in that position, Jackie did not have face-to-face contact with that guest, so she knew the service she was extending over the phone must have been something special to have been recognized. On the next visit, that guest wanted to meet her in person and from that point forward, she has continued to help that same guest to this day.
